Grace Upon Grace
“And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace”
John 1:16 (NKJV)I used to wake up wondering if yesterday had used up all the grace I was going to get. Then I would open my Bible and find a fresh supply sitting there, like God had restocked overnight while I slept.
John describes Jesus this way: of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. Hear the picture in those words. One wave of grace rolls in, and right behind it comes another. You do not drain an ocean by standing in it. The supply is not measured by your need or your performance. It is measured by His fullness, and His fullness has never once run low.
Day 10 of 30 on grace: whatever wave hit your life yesterday, another one is already on its way in. Stop rationing a gift that arrives in waves. Receive today's grace today, in full, and thank Him for the wave you have not even seen yet.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I receive fresh grace from Your fullness today. Thank You that Your supply never runs dry and that another wave is already coming. Amen.
