Justified Freely
“being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 3:24 (NKJV)The courtroom word is the most freeing word in the Bible. Justified.
It does not mean God looks at your record and grades on a curve. It means He looks at the record of Jesus and hands you the verdict: righteous. Case closed.
Paul writes, "being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:24, NKJV)
Freely. The Greek word is dorean, and it means without a cause, without a price. It is the same word Jesus used when He said, "They hated Me without a cause" (John 15:25, NKJV). You gave God no cause to justify you, and He did it anyway.
Here is the part that will not fit inside a rulebook: justification is not a process, it is a declaration. The moment you believed, heaven's gavel came down. Not guilty. Righteous. The redemption was already purchased, in Christ Jesus, before you ever asked.
So stop treating your walk with God like probation. Probation says you are free but being watched. Justification says the case is closed. Live like someone whose debt was burned, not someone still making payments.
Prayer: Father, I receive Your verdict. I am justified freely by Your grace through Jesus. Teach me to live from that freedom today, not from fear. Amen.
